BIOREFINING

Operating at Commercial Scale since 2018

LanzaTech recycles carbon with biology to supplant the use of virgin fossil carbon in our everyday products and materials. We work with energy-intensive industries to capture their waste carbon, which would otherwise be destined for the atmosphere or landfills, and transform that carbon into sustainable raw materials.

Our biorecycling process works like a brewery, only instead of yeast consuming sugar to make alcohol, our proprietary microbes consume carbon emissions and make ethanol and other building blocks, which can be turned into fuels and everyday consumer goods. This process allows LanzaTech and our partners to create value from waste.

As part of our project development process, LanzaTech provides mobile gas testing services. The LanzaTech Gas Testing Station (GTS) evaluates the compatibility of the gas streams from various industrial processes with our gas fermentation process.

Please contact us if you’re interested in testing your gas stream.
