LanzaTech NZ, Inc. (“LanzaTech”), an innovative Carbon Capture and Transformation (“CCT”) company that transforms waste carbon into materials such as sustainable fuels, fabrics, packaging, and other products that people use in their daily lives, announced today that it has appointed Joseph C. Blasko as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Blasko previously led the global legal and compliance department at James Hardie Industries plc, an Irish-domiciled, NYSE/ASX-listed global building materials company. Prior to joining James Hardie Industries, Mr. Blasko served as General Counsel of Liebert Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of industrial conglomerate Emerson Electric Co. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles within the legal department at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and practiced law at Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease LLP, with a broad focus on regulatory, commercial and products liability litigation.

Mr. Blasko received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, International Relations, Law & Organization from Georgetown University, and a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
