Welcome to the Post Pollution Future

It’s not a debate. There’s no two sides. A post-pollution world is inevitable. Humans will either be part of it, or the planet will go on without us. But where others see a dire choice, LanzaTech sees a trillion dollar opportunity.

The good news is LanzaTech has invented a technology big enough to meet the moment. One that transforms pollution and ensures that humans continue to prosper far into the post-pollution future.

The science is state-of-the-art, but the idea is simple. We use nature to heal nature. Carbon emissions are fed to trillions of carbon-hungry microbes that turn pollution into valuable raw material commodities.

We stand at a critical moment in history and are ready to meet the challenges head on. Someday everything we use in our daily lives will be made from recycled carbon, mimicking nature where there is no such thing as waste.

Dr. Jennifer Holmgren

Jennifer is the Chief Executive Officer of LanzaTech. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector including a proven track record in the development and commercialization of fuels and chemicals technologies.

Unmanaged waste carbon pollution is humanity’s greatest challenge. With innovation and purpose, LanzaTech is turning this crisis into an unprecedented economic opportunity, as we enable our partners to solve their waste carbon problems – profitably, today.

Geoff Trukenbrod

Geoff has over 25 years of experience building and leading companies through rapid expansions, turnarounds, and exits as an operating executive, equity and debt investor, and board director. Prior to LanzaTech, he led finance and corporate development for multiple venture and private equity backed businesses in the analytics, biotechnology, financial services, and social impact industries.

LanzaTech is changing how people think about carbon, with the option to recycle a “liability” into valuable and sustainable new products.

Decades ago, we recognized the harm humans were causing our planet. So, we implemented recycling programs, bought organic foods, and joined the fair-trade movement. Today, companies offer products made from recycled plastic, lab grown protein, and governments are creating legislative landscapes to support a Net Zero future.

LanzaTech’s carbon recycling technology is like retrofitting a brewery onto an emission source like a steel mill or a landfill site, but instead of using sugars and yeast to make beer, pollution is converted by bacteria to fuels and chemicals. Imagine a day when your plane is powered by recycled GHG emissions, when your shampoo bottle started life as emissions from a steel mill. This future is possible today using LanzaTech technology and LanzaTech’s CarbonSmartTM IP licensing services.
